The ice is thawing and some migrating communities are making a visit. Someone, I’m guessing from the city, put out a big pile of food which had attracted a nice flock of geese and our more common ducks.
That was what my kids asked me. I answered, “I don’t know, but go jump on it.” It took me a while to figure out all the functions of this work of art playground has built into it. It’s located in the back of Mitch Park. It’s a real interesting and entertaining jungle gym. Kids had the most fun just discovering it’s hidden treats. The slide is a little intense for little kids. Heck, I think I would be scared to try it.
The Mathis Skate Park is open daily from 7 a.m. – 11 p.m. for public use. Located within Mitch Park, it offers a thrilling experience for both skaters and audience. If you haven’t dropped by to check out what the kids can do, it’s worth a watch.
One of my favorite parks, Hafer really is an urban forest. A great place to take a break and take in some nature. I got out one morning early to watch the sun rise over the pond. It was worth it.
