Edmond man convicted in home invasion rape case

— A jury has convicted an Edmond man of first-degree rape and other offenses in a 2011 home invasion attack.

Jurors in Oklahoma County deliberated about three hours Thursday before convicting Jeremy Michael Scrivener, 22, of rape, three counts of rape by instrumentation, forcible anal sodomy, two counts of forcible oral sodomy, and burglary.

The panel recommended 139 years in prison as punishment.
