Edmond’s hot days take more water

— Edmond has experienced water usage of 25 million gallons a day during peak times this summer, with 100-degree-plus days continuing to stack up.

Edmond has a deal with Oklahoma City to purchase water when the demand reaches 20 million gallons day.

Daily water use during the summer months varies from 18 million to 22 million gallons per day, with the average being less than 20 million gallons a day.
